The Opportunity

Gomel & Associates, P.C. is seeking a Trial Attorney with strong litigation experience to join its established plaintiff personal injury practice in Houston.

This is a hands-on role for an attorney who is comfortable managing cases independently and actively contributing to trial preparation and courtroom proceedings. The firm is looking for someone who has real exposure to litigation, not just pre-litigation or settlement-heavy work.

You will take ownership of a full caseload and play a key role in moving cases from intake through trial or resolution.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a plaintiff personal injury caseload from intake through trial or resolution
• Participate in trial preparation and court proceedings
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses
• Draft, file, and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery
• Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and trials
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff
• Maintain strong client communication throughout the lifecycle of a case

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience preferred
• Trial experience (first or strong second chair exposure is acceptable)
• Background working in a high-volume personal injury firm environment
• Ability to manage cases independently with minimal oversight
• Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
• Experience taking depositions and participating in litigation strategy
• Detail-oriented with strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Demonstrated work ethic and ability to handle a demanding caseload
• Stable work history with a track record of tenure
