Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An established institution near Charles City is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for a contract position beginning August 24th and concluding June 4th. Full-time schedules offer 37.5 hours per week, with each teacher assigned to one school. Current opportunities include one Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) position and two self-contained roles at the elementary level.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license in one of the following: Special Education: General Curriculum (PreK–12), Special Education: Adapted Curriculum (PreK–12), or Early Childhood Special Education (Birth–Age 5)
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs
• Demonstrated organizational skills and effective communication with students, families, and staff
• Positive, collaborative approach to team teaching and problem-solving

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to ensure access to curriculum
• Track and measure student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Collaborate closely with general education staff and related service providers
• Actively participate in meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
