Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Washington State

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Evening shift, 5x8 hours (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Job Description: The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical supplies. A qualified candidate must have experience in a fast-paced surgical environment, particularly with trauma cases. This role requires on-call availability for weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in processing instruments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sterilization procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 3 years of sterile processing experience, with at least 2 years in a travel capacity.
• National certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with orthopedic and spine procedures preferred.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
