Senior Contract ManagerThe GE Aerospace's Contracts team is a critical team member, and a trusted and proactive business partner to the product lines within the business. Contracts is the face of GE Aerospace to our Commercial & US Government customers. We are charged with cradle to grave contract management duties in all phases of a Program, from proposal strategy through the full development, production, and sustainment life cycle. The contracts team provides expert knowledge in customer relationships and regulations, contract terms, price, and profit negotiation, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, and scope management. As an enabler to the business Contracts collaborates across multiple functions and is laser focused on achieving a business deal ensuring both GE and the customers' expectations are met.Essential Functions / ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities cover the entire contracting lifecycle, from receipt of solicitation through contract close-outWorks closely with leadership to shape business and contracting strategy, and ensure flawless execution in the formation, administration, and closeout of contractsWorks closely with and educates the internal customer about contract requirements, risk mitigation strategies, and collaborates with legal counselRemain steadfast in supporting compliance programs without compromiseGuides through assessing solicitations identifying business and compliance risksSupport proposal development through creating winning strategiesProvide negotiation strategies and guidance to team members as they prepare for discussions with DoD, higher-tier contractors, or other agenciesCommunicates contracts requirements and rights as well as company policies and procedures to internal customerEmbraces Lean, digital tools, and rigorous contracting practices to drive continuous improvement and employee and customer satisfactionMust have the confidence and the ability to work on your own, utilizing your skills to execute business objectives, supporting both internal and external customersIn this role, you will model GE Aerospace's core Behaviors of Respect for People, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Driven, applying FLIGHT DECK tools, standards, and operating cadences as part of your daily work.Ability to travel periodicallyQualifications/RequirementsMust be willing to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance for this roleBachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeAt least seven (7) years of experience in government, commercial, or international contract formation and executionSolid domain expertise with commercial terms and conditions, Federal Acquisition Regulations, with emphasis in Parts 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 Contracting by Negotiation, and DoD FAR SupplementAdditional Job DescriptionThis is not a telework position. Candidate is required to be in office with the option to flex depending upon program needs.This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
