We have a new opportunity available for a full-time IT Systems Manager to join us in our mission of reaching 35M survey participants by 2035.

What You'll Do

• Own the day-to-day health, security, and performance of Beyond Feedback’s core business systems, keeping uptime and reliability where they need to be.
• Monitor our systems proactively so small issues get caught before they become big ones.
• Apply patches and updates across systems on a regular cadence, keeping everything current and secure.
• Run regular security checks and vulnerability scans, closing gaps before they become risks.
• Own backup and disaster recovery planning, so the business can recover quickly if something goes wrong.
• Serve as our go-to resource for diagnosing and resolving system issues, prioritizing and fielding requests as they come in.
• Lead our SOC 2 compliance program, maintaining the systems, controls, and processes that keep client data secure.
• Write and maintain the IT policies that govern how our team uses systems and data securely.
• Maintain and enhance the APIs and integrations that move data securely and reliably between our systems, evolving them as the business grows.
• Write Python scripts that support automation, integrations, and ongoing system maintenance.
• Use TypeScript to build and support the internal tools and platforms that power how the business runs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our IT vendors and managed service providers, keeping performance in check and escalating when needed.
• Handle hardware setup and configuration so new team members are ready to go on day one.
• Manage systems onboarding and offboarding, provisioning and de-provisioning access across the tools our team relies on.
• Track software licenses, renewals, and hardware assets, so nothing lapses or gets duplicated.
• Document systems, processes, and procedures so we’re always ready for continuity, growth, and audits.
• Represent IT in company planning conversations, translating business needs into technology decisions.

What You Bring to the Table (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration, IT management, or a related technical role.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and integration work.
• Experience with TypeScript for full stack web development.
• Demonstrated experience building and integrating APIs to move data between systems.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce administration.
• Experience with patch management, vulnerability scanning, and backup/disaster recovery practices.
• Solid understanding of data security principles and policy management, including those relevant to SOC 2 compliance — and experience supporting a SOC 2 or similar compliance audit.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across a range of business systems and applications.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple support requests at once.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills — you can explain a technical issue to a non-technical teammate without losing them (or talking down to them).
• Comfortable working independently and exercising sound judgment with minimal day-to-day supervision.

What's In It for You (Comp & Benefits)

• Starting pay is between $90,000 and $115,000 per year, depending on experience.

Our Work-From-Home Arrangement

This role is primarily remote, with on-site time required for occasional equipment set-up and hands-on troubleshooting, as well as quarterly staff meetings. You must work from your primary residence located within 35 miles of our office so you can easily attend in-person meetings and be on-site when the work calls for it. You must have reliable internet service at home (minimum speed of 10MB download/5MB upload). You must have a dedicated workspace at your home that is free from distractions, just like you would if you worked from our office. Beyond Feedback provides all the equipment and systems you need to be successful.

The business hours and regular schedule for this role are 7am–4pm Monday through Friday.
