The unit cares for stable patients who are remotely monitored on telemetry. Floating to like units may be required based on facility needs. Some weekend shifts are required as per the unit’s schedule. Nurses will be expected to manage a variety of patient conditions. Previous experience with telemetry monitoring is preferred. Skills in accessing and managing ports, CPAP/BiPAP, and blood product administration are required. Additional skills in wound care, IV management, and telemetry monitoring are essential. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. The unit has a daily census of 24 and consists of 29 beds. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to float between units if necessary.
