Description:
We are seeking a Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon for call coverage.
The coverage dates are from 5/29 to June 26.
After two months, sporadic coverage will be needed.
The role includes assisting in the office/clinic setting.
Clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All hours for clinic and call back are billable at the callback rate.
This need arises due to a provider's medical emergency.
The practice focuses solely on adult patients and operates within a hospital environment.
The surgical procedures required include general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.
Specific procedures include coronary artery bypass surgery, congenital defects, and valvular repair/replacements.
Aneurysm repair and lung resections (including VATs) are also part of the caseload.
Other procedures include chest wall and pleural procedures, surgery of the esophagus and diaphragm, as well as endarterectomies.
Ventilation management and bronchoscopies are expected duties.
Candidates with experience in vascular surgery will be prioritized.
Support staff includes mid-level providers, and a full suite of lab and x-ray services is available on-site.
The facility has a total of 250 beds, with 60 dedicated to intensive care.
Documentation is managed using an electronic system.
