About Us
Founded in 1876, The Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY) is a youth development organization with the mission to empower boys and young men, ages 7 to 21, by providing effective programs and a supportive community. BCNY provides evidence-based programs to address the evolving social, emotional, health, creative, educational, and vocational needs of our members in meaningful, lasting ways. BCNY develops programs to cultivate positive qualities in members and strives to continually deepen and broaden our impact.
Job Summary
The Media Instructor is responsible for designing and facilitating engaging, age-appropriate media programming for BCNY members. The instructor will introduce young people to various forms of digital media and creative expression, including photography, videography, video editing, podcasting, digital storytelling, graphic design, and content creation.
The Media Instructor should combine technical knowledge with strong youth-development practices, creating an environment where members can explore their creativity, develop new skills, collaborate with peers, and complete meaningful projects.
This position requires an instructor who can make media accessible and exciting for beginners while providing more advanced opportunities for members who demonstrate greater interest and ability.

-
Establish production roles for members, including host, co-host, producer, researcher, writer, interviewer, audio engineer, and editor, allowing members to explore different aspects of media production.
-
Create opportunities for members to produce individual and collaborative podcast projects.
-
Develop a consistent production schedule with clear expectations for planning, recording, editing, and completing episodes.
-
