Purpose of the Role
The Corporate Counsel – United States is a firsthand legal execution role supporting GR’s US commercial and corporate needs. The focus is commercial contracts, corporate legal matters, and regulatory/compliance support. While reporting to the Global CHRO, the role exercises independent legal judgment and partners directly with business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Contract Support
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, vendor, services, and technology contracts
- Support commercial teams and procurement with contracting needs
Corporate, Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Support corporate governance and compliance activities
- Partner with Finance, Tax, and Audit on regulatory requirements
Employment Law Support
- Provide initial guidance on routine employment matters
- Coordinate external counsel for complex issues
External Counsel Coordination
- Manage relationships with US-based external counsel
- Ensure external legal advice is business-ready
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited US law school
- 5–8 years of legal experience
- Strong commercial and corporate legal background
