Job description: Senior Applications Engineer ICONICS / GENESISLocation: Washington, DC Baltimore AreaEmployment Type: Direct HireCompensation: Targeting $135,000 (flexible for the right candidate)Relocation: Open to non-local candidates; relocation assistance may be availablePosition OverviewOur client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Applications Engineer with hands-on deployment experience using ICONICS GENESIS v10 and/or v11 and the broader ICONICS product suite.This role focuses on the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale automation and monitoring systems across commercial buildings, industrial processes, and factory automation environments. The ideal candidate has real-world implementation experience, not just exposure, and can serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers.This is a high-urgency hire for a repeat client where multiple successful placements have already been made.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and deploy ICONICS GENESIS v10/v11 automation systemsLead implementation of large-scale automation, monitoring, and visualization projectsAct as a technical advisor to customers, providing expert guidance on ICONICS solutionsIntegrate industrial and commercial equipment, sensors, databases, and IT systemsDevelop dashboards, reports, alerts, and workflows to support operational decision-makingAnalyze operational and historical data to improve system performance and visibilityManage multiple projects while ensuring timelines, specifications, and customer expectations are metMaintain high standards of professionalism in all client-facing interactionsCollaborate with internal engineering and project teamsPerform additional duties as requiredEducationBachelors or Masters degree in an Engineering disciplineWork Location & TravelPosition based in Washington, DCInitial training in Foxboro, MassachusettsOnce CAC clearance is obtained, work will be on-site (MondayFriday, 8 hours/day)After the initial period (up to one year), 515% travel may be required, including international and weekend travel Qualifications: Required Skills & Experience5+ years of hands-on deployment experience with ICONICS GENESIS v10 and/or v11 (required)Proven experience implementing ICONICS solutions in production environmentsStrong background in industrial and computer networksExperience with industrial communication protocols such as:OPCBACnetModbusSNMP5+ years of experience with SQL ServerStrong experience with Microsoft operating systems and softwareComfortable working in customer-facing environmentsAbility to obtain Federal Security Credentials / CAC clearancePreferred / Nice-to-Have ExperienceBackground with Wonderware or other HMI / SCADA platformsExperience with IoT technologies and protocolsUX, dashboard design, or industrial visualization experienceExperience integrating enterprise databases and IT applications into automation systems Why is This a Great Opportunity: Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary (target $135K, flexible for the right candidate)Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid sick leave13 paid holidays401(k) with company contribution and matchHealth, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Employee Assistance ProgramSalary Type : Annual SalarySalary Min : $ 120000Salary Max : $ 134999Currency Type : USDNigel
