Site Reliability Engineer

We are recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineer to support cloud-based applications in a highly regulated environment. This contract role requires strong AWS cloud design experience, hands-on CloudWatch experience, and the ability to support highly reliable production systems.
What You’ll Do
• Build and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and automation for large-scale application environments
• Support production, test, and development systems to keep applications reliable, available, and high-performing
• Design and maintain observability solutions using AWS services and related monitoring tools
• Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting, infrastructure as code, or cloud-native tooling
• Track performance, reliability, capacity, and operational health metrics across application services
• Partner with development and operations teams to improve deployment practices, incident response, resiliency, and system performance
What You’ll Bring
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the regulated environment and client contract requirements
• Must live in the Central or Eastern time zone
• Strong AWS cloud design experience, including CloudWatch
• Experience with AWS services such as CloudTrail, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, PostgreSQL, S3, API Gateway, ELB, OpenSearch, Grafana, X-Ray, SQS, Canaries, or AWS FIS
• Background with GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, CDK, Grafana, OpenSearch, or similar tools
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, TypeScript, Node.js, .NET, Java, or similar languages
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code, monitoring as code, deployment patterns, disaster recovery, resiliency, ITIL, or chaos engineering
• Bachelor’s degree and strong related experience in cloud, DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering
• AWS certifications preferred
