More About Our Team Our growing community prompted a full renovation of the Emergency Department to better serve our patients and care teams. Highlights include: 31-bed Emergency Department 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for acute patients Specially designed behavioral health safe rooms Care for patients across the lifespan with a wide range of medical emergencies Designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center How You'll Contribute Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. What We're Looking For The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Applicants should have a current RN VA or compact state license and possess an associate's degree in nursing. Additional Requirements Include Bachelor's degree preferred American Heart Association Basic Life Support American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) within 6 months.
