This role works under the direction of the Station Manager and is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time aircraft operations while delivering a high level of customer service. The Station Agent operates in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and must be able to work under tight time constraints while maintaining compliance with all safety and security regulations.ResponsibilitiesLoad, unload, and transport passenger baggage and cargo between aircraft, carts, and terminal areasOperate ground service equipment such as belt loaders, tugs, and bag carts in a safe and efficient mannerAssist with aircraft servicing, including cabin cleaning, waste disposal, and restocking as neededPrepare aircraft cabins for boarding and departure, including cleaning seats, galleys, and lavatoriesSupport ramp operations by coordinating ground equipment and ensuring readiness for arriving and departing flightsProvide customer service support, including assisting passengers at ticket counters, gates, and boarding areasCommunicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and airline partners to ensure on-time performanceMonitor flight schedules and assist with operational changes such as delays or gate changesFollow all company, airport, and federal safety and security regulations at all timesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentComplete required documentation and reports accurately and timelyHandle customer concerns and escalate issues to leadership as appropriatePerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQualifications18 years of age or olderMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.Must hold a valid driver's license.Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)Previous customer service or airport experience preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to follow instructions and adhere to safety proceduresAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).Airlines operate 24/7; must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Activity/Working Conditions May Include:Ability to lift up to 70 poundsProlonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicableMay need to reach with arms and grasp with handsMay need to push, pullMay need to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spacesMay need to bend, stretch, squat, kneelExposure to moderate and at times high noise levelsExposure to outdoor elementsBe able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarmsTasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingersSpecific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)The pay rate listed on this post is what the company reasonably expects to pay for this position.
