Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room, Martinsville, Virginia. This position provides emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a hospital emergency department. The role requires a professional, positive, compassionate, and team-oriented approach.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts of 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Assignment Dates: 11/17/202603/09/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse licensure and required certifications to practice in Virginia; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Handle with Care, National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC); at least 2 years of experience in an acute-care emergency room setting; completion of at least one travel assignment.
• Additional Information: The emergency department serves patients of all ages, with typical patient ratios of 1:5. Common cases include chest pain, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and psychiatric presentations. Any scrub color is permitted; casual wear is not accepted. Orientation occurs biweekly on Tuesdays.
