Medical Lab Technician

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technician for the Halsey Lab in Portland, Oregon, working Tuesday–Saturday early mornings. The role involves specimen processing, performing laboratory tests, operating instrumentation, and maintaining quality control in a high-volume diagnostic setting.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
Prepare, test, and validate new reagents and quality control materials
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Report accurate test results timely and maintain safe work environment with proper PPE

Requirements

Associate's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
ASCP or AMT certification
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
1+ year clinical laboratory experience in high-volume setting (preferred)
