CMRD's Regulatory Program is seeking a highly motivated claims professional to fill an open Claims Operations Specialist role. This person will join a collaborative team responsible for supporting statewide claims initiatives, operational improvements, and regulatory readiness efforts.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work on projects and initiatives that impact the entire Claims organization. This role will partner with stakeholders across Claims, Legal, Claims Business Technology, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Training, and other business areas to identify challenges, develop practical solutions, and support implementation of organizational priorities.
This position may be filled in the following State Fund locations: Bakersfield, Eureka, Fresno, Glendale, Oxnard, Pasadena, Pleasanton, Redding, Rohnert Park, Sacramento, Salinas, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Stockton, or Vacaville.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting implementation of legislative, regulatory, and operational changes affecting Claims operations.
• Participating in enterprise projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Researching and analyzing business issues, operational trends, and emerging needs.
• Developing guidance, job aids, reference materials, and communications for Claims staff.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance operational effectiveness, and support organizational goals.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple departments to develop and implement solutions.
• Supporting responses to audits, business inquiries, and operational requests.

Special Requirements
Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary in exchange for leave credits.
