Responsibilities Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic: Conduct comprehensive evaluations in the Surgical Services Center to optimize patients prior to surgery. Independent Practice: Develop and execute anesthetic plans with autonomy, including pharmacologic agent selection and invasive monitoring. Interdisciplinary Pain Management: Collaborate with the IPMC to provide advanced pain relief for post‑surgical and chronic pain patients. Rapid Response: Serve as primary expert for difficult intubations and emergency resuscitations (ACLS/PALS) throughout the hospital and ED. Clinical Instruction: Provide bedside teaching, oversight, and formal evaluations for Student Nurse Anesthetists and residents. Curriculum Support: Deliver in‑services, workshops, and case studies to keep anesthesia staff current on DoD anesthesia protocols. Research & QA: Participate in QA and peer review processes to maintain Joint Commission accreditation standards. Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen.
