Job Details Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job‑related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $16 per hour. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday or Friday – Sunday availability. Shift times can range from 7:00am – 3:00pm or 3:00pm – 11:00pm. SUMMARY The Cashier is responsible for accurately collecting and reconciling revenue while providing exceptional hospitality services to all guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Determines guest charges and processes payments via cash, credit, or direct billing; accurately catalogs tickets for audit; collects and reconciles revenue; furnishes payment receipts. Completes accurate and timely shift reports; follows standard operating procedures for cash banks; operates registers, gates, and credit card machines; obtains information about daily events and rates. Completes all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Lead Cashier/Account Manager. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Licensure, Certification: None required. Work Experience: One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide with 10s and 100s; understand 24‑hour and military time systems; understand rates applicable to time passed. Read and write standard English; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to guests, clients, and employees. Understand units of American money. SCOPE OF AUTHORITY Job is fairly routine. The incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department. Budget Responsibility: The employee has control over resources available only. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical and environmental conditions include regular talking or hearing; sitting or standing for extended periods; running, walking, handling or feeling objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Lifting: up to 50lb occasionally, up to 25lb frequently, or greater than 10lb constantly. Environment: Majority of work outdoors for extended periods, possibly up to entire shift; exposure to extreme heat and cold; protection from weather conditions may be provided but not guaranteed. Travel: Up to 5% may be required.
