Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated  Occupational Therapist (OT) for a  full-time, school-based position in  Bethel, VT for the 2026–2027 school year . This opportunity focuses on an  elementary student caseload , providing occupational therapy services that help students improve functional skills, classroom participation, and overall independence.

The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting student growth through collaborative, student-centered interventions in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide  occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct therapy services to elementary-aged students
• Support the development of  fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional life skills
• Develop and implement therapy goals in accordance with  Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Ensure compliance with state, district, and federal special education guidelines

Qualifications

• Active or eligible  Vermont Occupational Therapist License
• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in  Occupational Therapy
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Knowledge of  IEP processes and special education services
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
