Pharmacy Manager in Brawley, CA

An opportunity is available to serve as an Interim Pharmacy Manager at a small, community hospital in Southern California. This role will oversee pharmacy operations in a 100-bed facility with an average daily census of 45 patients. The position requires immediate availability with a contract duration of approximately 13 weeks or more.


Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the hospital pharmacy.
• Manage pharmacy personnel, ensuring optimal workflow and staff productivity.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and oversee budgetary considerations.
• Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Pyxis to support pharmacy operations.
• Support and maintain the 340B outpatient pharmacy program.
• Lead the pharmacy department through an upcoming accreditation transition from DNV to The Joint Commission (TJC).

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, daytime shifts.
• Potential to explore a four 10-hour day workweek.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license.
• Proven management experience within a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle challenging staff dynamics with resilience and professionalism.
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Cerner and Pyxis systems preferred.
