Structural Welder

Description

We are now accepting applications/resumes for EXPERIENCED Structural Welders for the Jeanerette, LA and surrounding area. This is not an entry-level position, and candidate should have a solid understanding of some of the following:

Must be able weld 3G/4G
Experience with FLUXCORE welding
Scope of Work: Repair and Maintenance
Required Skills:
- Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Ability employ their knowledge of metallurgy and geometry to provide welding solutions and recommendations
- Ability to set up, evaluate, and operate various welding equipment and tools
- Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications
Physical Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working at different heights
- Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
Ability to use hand tools to achieve proper surface texture
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions
Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations
Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
Must have own PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves), welding hood, welding shirts, and welding gloves
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass drug screen
Pay:
- Competitive
- Weekly Pay
- Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
Schedule:
- 10-12 Hour Days
- Monday - Friday
- Weekends (as needed)
Duration of Job: Approximately 4 Months
