Registered Nurse Endoscopy/GI

$1640.16/week -

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care in the Endoscopy unit for adult and pediatric patients undergoing procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy. Responsible for delivering safe, efficient care during procedures and recovery phases, while maintaining compliance with unit policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures.
  
  
• 
  Utilize endoscopic equipment and assist physicians during procedures, ensuring patient safety.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and recovery progress post-procedure, adjusting care as needed.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system and adhere to infection control protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care and recovery.
  
  
• 
  Participate in on-call coverage, including weekends and weekdays, to support unit needs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  
  
• 
  At least 1 year of RN recent experience in endoscopy or GI procedures.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with endoscopic techniques and patient monitoring.
  
  
• 
  Possess strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage adult and pediatric patients.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  
  
• 
  Maintain a professional demeanor aligned with unit dress code and policies.
