USSOCOM is hiring an experienced 1102 Contract Specialist at MacDill AFB, FL (SOF AT&L). Lead full-life-lifecycle, high-dollar acquisitions delivering cutting-edge tech, tactical systems, and R&D directly to Special Operations Forces. Knowledge of contracting negotiation, administration and termination principles, policies, procedures and technical requirements applicable to the full range of contracting actions for a variety of contract types. Knowledge of price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position. Knowledge of business practices and market conditions applicable to acquisition requirements; of assigned contracting and procurement specializations and applicable contract types; and of methods and techniques of fact-finding, analysis and resolution of complex contracting problems. Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
