Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP position requiring BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, covering all aspects of LDRP including nursery and postpartum care
• Patient population includes antepartum, high-risk antepartum, labor & delivery, and mother/baby care
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• Meditech charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (AR or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Experience maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC) preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and infusion pump use

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
• Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation and scrub roles, and newborn care
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Perform fetal monitoring including EFM and IUPC placement/calibration
• Support lactation and breastfeeding education for new mothers
• Provide newborn assessments, discharge teaching, and car seat education
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
