Shipping ClerkResponsible for coordination of all outgoing shipments, creating appropriate shipping documentation, maintaining associated records, and coordinating with customer service/sales teams.While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:Follow safe work practices and procedures, and ensure a "safety first" culture in every task undertaken.Ensure daily goals are metObtain shipping quotesCoordinate all outgoing shipmentsCoordinate international shipmentsPackage outgoing shipmentsInvoice customersAssist with unloading of delivery trucks as neededResponsible for inventory of shipping materialsMaintain clean, tidy and safe work place.Abide by company and EHS regulations/policies.Advises manager on implementing changes.Advises manager of risks or potential hazards as required.Implement continuous improvement processes.Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times to ensure the security and confidentiality of company information.Co-operate with other staff, supervisors and managers.Perform any other duties as reasonably directed.We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:Required Experience: International shipping experience including knowledge of Incoterms. Minimum of 2 or more years' experience in warehouse setting. Customer service experience.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). SAP experience. Forklift experience. Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.Education & Certifications: High School diploma.Travel & Working Environment: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift 50lbs.
