Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough and compassionate assessments of clients’ needs, which involves listening carefully to their concerns, identifying their goals, and mapping out a personalized treatment plan.

  • Facilitate individual, couples, and family therapy sessions using a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic modalities, ensuring the approach aligns with the unique preferences and situations of each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients who are in hospice care or coping with terminal illnesses. These clients are often dealing with significant emotional distress, grief, and complex family dynamics related to end-of-life care. Your expertise will help them navigate personal losses and create coping strategies that foster peace and acceptance during a challenging time in their lives.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.

  • Experience in providing therapy with individuals, couples, and families, particularly in a hospice or palliative care setting is highly desirable.

  • Strong clinical skills and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies, allowing for effective interventions tailored to diverse needs.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

Previous experience in hospice care or working with terminally ill patients, along with a background in grief counseling, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
