Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons is seeking someone who is an IT "jack-of-all-trades" with Security Operations Center (SOC) experience to be a key contributor to our team.  Imagine next with Parsons as you join a team that supports and values our employees, provides opportunities for exposure to various projects, and provides innovative solutions and products to our customers.What You'll Be Doing:Set up and monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and productsDetect, investigate and respond to security threatsConfigure and support virtual environments including AWS, VMware and ProxmoxMaintain various operating systems with a variety of users and activitiesApply cybersecurity knowledge to configure IT equipment to proper security standardsInstall, troubleshoot, and manage applications, systems, and networksTest systems and resolve security vulnerabilitiesParticipate in the government's Risk Management Framework (RMF) to maintain system accreditationWork with ISSOs to determine appropriate IT policies, while creating and improving upon system documentationInteract with and assist customers from various parts of USCYBERCOMHelp manage computers, servers, networks, IT security systems and other critical components of USCYBERCOM’s IT infrastructureWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Active TS/SCI w/ polygraphBachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Integrator, Systems Administrator, or in a Cybersecurity role; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeExperience with SIEM tools like Splunk, Elastic and/or similar productsActive DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification or higher (ex: Security+ CE, CySA+, Network+, SSCP, etc.)What Desired Skills You'll Bring:Master's Degree in Engineering or related field of study and 8+ years of experienceExperience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)Experience with STIGs/IAVAA problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solutionHas, or is willing to gain, more diverse IT skills, including Windows/Linux and networkingAble to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering Security Clearance Requirement:An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.​This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
