Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, ensuring clinical excellence and patient safety. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate treatment and promote healing.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
  
  
• 
  Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff to ensure adherence to care plans and safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and families to develop and update care plans.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  
  
• 
  Participate in discharge planning to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  
  
• 
  Utilize EMR/Epic systems for documentation and clinical data management.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  
  
• 
  Possess a Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate at least two years recent experience in a medical-surgical setting.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications from an approved vendor.
  
  
• 
  Have experience with electronic medical records, particularly Epic.
