Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title Registered Nurse - PCU Location Columbus, OH Schedule / Job Type Full-time, rotating shift (nights), 12-hour shifts Key Responsibilities Provide patient care in intermediate, progressive care, and stepdown units within a comprehensive cancer center. Float between various specialized inpatient units, including oncology, hematology, urology, colorectal, and surgical oncology. Adhere to infection prevention protocols and safety procedures while delivering high-quality care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans and interventions. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records. Required Qualifications Valid RN license in Ohio or valid compact state license at time of submission. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in high-acuity PCU or higher. Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly. Experience in oncology is preferred but not required. Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with infusion therapies, special procedures, or cancer treatments. Familiarity with infection control and patient safety protocols in an acute care setting. Prior float or multi-unit experience in a hospital environment. $2400 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
