I’m partnering with a fast-growing, multi-location consumer organization that is adding a Staff Accountant to its expanding Finance & Accounting team.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career accountant who wants to do more than just AP. While Accounts Payable will be a meaningful part of the role, you’ll also gain exposure to month-end close, reconciliations, cash activity, tax, journal entries and general accounting across a growing, multi-entity organization.

The company is continuing to expand, making this a role where your responsibilities can grow significantly over time.

What You’ll Get Exposure To

• Own day-to-day AP and invoice processing, including working with vendors and maintaining accurate records
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations
• Help reconcile cash activity and deposits across multiple locations
• Gain hands-on exposure to sales & use tax and other accounting-related filings
• Assist with transaction coding and ensuring expenses are properly documented and allocated
• Research and resolve discrepancies and help keep accounts clean and up to date
• Support audit requests and financial documentation
• Work across multiple entities and locations within a growing organization
• Participate in process improvements, system enhancements and automation initiatives
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as the company and Finance team continue to grow

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 0–2 years of accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with recurring deadlines
• Solid Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Someone who is curious, coachable and eager to learn
• A team player who is comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Someone who wants to understand the why behind the numbers, not simply process transactions

Nice to Have

• Internship or coursework involving AP, audit, tax or month-end close
• Exposure to an ERP or accounting automation platform
• Experience in a multi-location or multi-entity environment
• Spanish/English fluency
• Interest in pursuing a CPA or CMA

Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 + 10% bonus potential - Boston
