Job Overview RR Contracting LLC is seeking a motivated and dependable Junior Lead to join our construction team. This position is designed for someone who has hands-on construction experience and is ready to grow into a stronger leadership role in the field. The Junior Lead will assist with construction tasks, support jobsite coordination, help guide team members when needed, maintain clean and organized work areas, and work closely with Crew Leads, Project Managers, and the Operations Manager. This role requires a balance of hands-on work, communication, responsibility, and a willingness to learn RR Contracting LLC’s standards, systems, and expectations. The ideal candidate has construction experience, takes pride in quality work, follows instructions well, communicates clearly, and is ready to become a trusted long-term member of the RR Contracting LLC team. Key Responsibilities Field Work and Construction Support Assist with daily construction activities on residential, remodeling, commercial, service, warranty, punch-list, and demolition/remodel projects. Perform hands-on construction tasks, including basic carpentry, drywall, painting, framing support, demolition, repairs, cleanup, and other assigned duties. Use power tools, hand tools, and equipment safely and properly. Assist with repair, restoration, and improvement of existing structures. Support roof construction, repair, and general exterior work when needed. Help ensure materials, tools, and equipment are properly used, stored, maintained, and protected. Junior Leadership Support Support the Crew Lead or Project Manager with daily jobsite coordination. Help communicate daily work priorities to team members when directed. Set a positive example through punctuality, work ethic, safety, respect, and professionalism. Assist newer team members by helping them understand tasks, tools, cleanup expectations, and jobsite standards. Help maintain productivity and focus throughout the workday. Report concerns, delays, safety issues, material needs, or jobsite problems to the appropriate supervisor. Jobsite Organization and Cleanliness Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite. Ensure tools, materials, and supplies are stored properly at the end of each day. Assist with jobsite setup, daily cleanup, and project closeout tasks. Respect client property, neighboring properties, and company equipment. Help ensure the jobsite reflects RR Contracting LLC’s professional standards. Safety and Compliance Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite rules. Use required personal protective equipment as directed. Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly. Report unsafe conditions, damaged tools, injuries, near misses, or hazards immediately. Help maintain awareness of jobsite safety for yourself and others. Communication and Documentation Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers, leads, managers, subcontractors, and clients when appropriate. Follow instructions from supervisors and ask questions when clarification is needed. Provide updates on assigned tasks and jobsite needs. Use Buildertrend or other company-approved systems when required, or be willing to learn. Support daily documentation, photos, notes, or task updates as directed. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of construction experience preferred. Basic knowledge of construction methods, tools, materials, and jobsite safety. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Ability to perform hands-on construction work in a safe and efficient manner. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Good communication skills and a respectful attitude. Dependable transportation and ability to report to assigned jobsites on time. Willingness to learn, improve, and grow into a stronger leadership role. Ability to work as part of a team and support RR Contracting LLC’s company values. Preferred Qualifications Experience in carpentry, drywall, painting, framing, roofing, remodeling, demolition, repair work, or general construction. Experience working on residential remodels, new construction, commercial remodeling, or service work. Familiarity with jobsite coordination or assisting crew members. Experience with Buildertrend or willingness to learn. Ability to read basic plans, measurements, work orders, or task instructions. Interest in long-term career growth with RR Contracting LLC. Lifting and carrying construction materials, tools, and equipment. Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Climbing ladders or working from elevated areas when properly trained and authorized. Working in active construction environments with dust, noise, tools, and equipment. Following all safety requirements while performing physical work. Schedule 8-hour shift or as needed by job schedule. Monday to Friday or as needed by job schedule. Occasional travel, overtime, or adjusted schedules may be required depending on project needs.
