Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, Wisconsin. The position supports the delivery of family-centered care to critically ill or injured pediatric patients within a mixed pediatric intensive care environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Evening/Night shifts (12 hours) from 7:00pm7:30am, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required; minimum hours per week: 36.0.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) or compact RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association [AHA])
  • Experience in inpatient acute care within the last 3 years in the specialty submitted to (2 years required, as stated)
  • Strong Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience
  • At least 1 year of Cardiovascular (CV) experience (as stated)
  • Charting system experience: Epic
  • Traveler must pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trauma Level I experience
• Float: Float rotation may be required to NICU and general care.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit includes Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) patients.
  • Patient care needs include advanced therapies and monitoring such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), External ventricular drain (EVD), and ECMO* (as listed in the skills).
  • Travelers must complete Telemetry exam requirements prior to start, including strict pass criteria as described in the posting.
