Data Engineer | Remote, Oregon, United States Data Engineer (Informatica IDMC / SQL) - 100% Remote | 6-Month Contract About the Role Join a high-impact data engineering team at Red Lobster as we modernize our data warehouse and transform ETL processes for better business visibility and accessibility. As a Data Engineer, you'll design, build, and optimize Enterprise ETL pipelines using Informatica IDMC and advanced SQL. You'll play a critical role in building our new raw data zone and redefining data integration for a fast-moving, collaborative environment. This fully remote, US-based contract is ideal for an independent problem-solver ready to make a difference while working with cutting-edge tools and a dynamic team. Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and optimize complex ETL pipelines using Informatica IDMC (CDI) - Debug, validate, and troubleshoot data flows with advanced SQL across large datasets - Support the creation and maintenance of a new raw data zone to enhance data retention and reprocessing - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate evolving business rules into technical solutions and clear documentation - Analyze data for inconsistencies and drive solutions to completion with minimal direction - Abstract and document business rules for transparency and governance - Contribute to the evolution of ETL frameworks, including potential Python-based integrations with IDMC APIs - Participate in cross-team initiatives and support future tasks involving orchestration tools or .NET integration (as needed) Required Skills and Experience - Senior-level hands-on expertise with Informatica IDMC (CDI) - Advanced SQL skills for debugging, validation, and analysis - Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise ETL pipelines - Highly independent work ethic with strong problem-solving skills and initiative - Excellent communication; comfortable seeking clarification and operating in environments with limited documentation and shifting requirements Preferred Skills - Familiarity with IDMC CAI for API/JSON-driven workflows - Python proficiency (junior-level sufficient) for framework understanding - Experience with JSON, APIs, and data structure manipulation - Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) - Experience with JAMS or other orchestration/scheduling tools - .NET / C# background for future cross-functional collaboration Benefits - 100% remote-work from anywhere in the US - Opportunity to contribute to a major data warehouse modernization initiative - Fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive team culture - Exposure to the latest data integration and AI-assisted tools - Potential for contract extension or early conversion to full-time How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your Informatica IDMC and SQL experience.
