Senior Bumper Design Engineer

Wise Equation Solutions Inc.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

Develop design concepts based on project direction and guidance from the OEM.

Perform CAD activities using CATIA V5 and V6.

Evaluate and close open items.

Create layouts.

Perform styling feasibility using LA Studio.

Develop 3D models.

Create drawings according to OEM standards using the latest software systems.

Use CATIA V5 as the primary CAD program through Die Go.

Create supporting documentation.

Perform cost estimation and analysis of supplier quotes.

Attend evaluations and create/respond to C/M items, including gap and flushness, IQS, wiring and piping, etc.

Requirements

Must work on-site full time at the OEM in Ohio.

Act as the PIC and primary window person between the OEM and LTTS Near Shore/Offshore PSC teams.

Manage Offshore PSC workload and responsibilities.

Understand the OEM development flow, including:

Overall project schedule.

General expectations at each development milestone.

OEM development systems.

High level of CATIA V5 and V6 capability.

Ability to work and negotiate with styling teams, suppliers, and factory teams to support OEM best interests and best practices.

Understand part/assembly cost drivers and design methods used to achieve development targets.
