Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to set up, adjust, and operate various machine tools to produce precision components. This role requires experience with manual lathes, knee mills, boring bars, grinders, and special-purpose machines.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, grinders, and other machining tools
• Work from blueprints, specifications, and job layouts to produce close-tolerance components
• Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions
• Perform quality checks using a variety of precision measuring instruments
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including scheduled preventative maintenance

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience operating manual lathes, mills, and grinders
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job layouts
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, calipers, etc.)
• Strong problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting as required

The base salary range for this position is $32, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note that hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
