About the Position

Shift: 3 × 12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: Rotating
On-Call: 2 shifts/month
Orientation: 3 days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM before transitioning to night shifts

Pay Package:

• Regular Pay: $26/hr
• Weekly Housing & Meal Stipend: $1,196.16/week
• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,132.16/week (subject to completion of scheduled hours)

Job Description

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered hospice and end-of-life nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition.
• Manage symptoms and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient goals.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about disease progression, medications, and comfort measures.
• Support families and caregivers with confidence and guidance during end-of-life care.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Provide physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor their effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Respond appropriately to urgent patient needs and participate in on-call coverage.

Requirements

• Current and active RN license required.
• Previous hospice, palliative care, acute care, or related nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent symptom-management and patient-care abilities.
• Strong communication and compassionate interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work 3 × 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule.
