Event Coordinator

Job Summary Join the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin‑Madison School of Medicine and Public Health as an Event Coordinator and play a key role in supporting a wide range of events that advance a world‑class academic and healthcare mission. Additional Requirements Work may be performed in‑person on campus or remotely off‑site as needed; evening and weekend events may be required. Schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire. Position requires heavy lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including effective collaboration, maintaining professional relationships, and working under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. Key Job Responsibilities Assist with planning and creation of promotional materials and resources for events. Greet customers/guests, assist with registration, answer questions, and refer complex issues to appropriate entities. Monitor and process event‑related transactions, data, and records. Schedule logistics and secure resources for all aspects of events, including space, vendors, and staff; coordinate details and resolve operational issues. Communicate with customers to determine event details and requirements, evaluate requests, recommend service plans and pricing, and provide status updates. Required Qualifications At least 1 year of professional experience in event planning. Experience providing customer service, administrative support, or similar. Preferred Qualifications Experience scheduling and organizing complex event logistics with attention to detail. Experience with digital communications, event registration, and survey creation. Education Bachelor's Degree preferred.
