About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: General Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of MS/Tele required License: RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Days with 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend rotation every third weekend and holiday rotation as required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS/Tele required. BLS certification required - AHA only. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience of 4 is required. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. Community hospital experience is preferred. LTAC and Trauma Level I or II experience is preferred. Strong travel experience is beneficial. Skills include managing ports, arterial lines, blood product administration, chest tubes, epidural analgesia, and others related to MS/Tele care. On this post-operative unit, you will frequently care for patients with various surgical needs. You will be responsible for patient education, particularly regarding ostomies and wound care. Emphasis is placed on professional development through continuing education and mentoring. The patient population primarily consists of adults and geriatrics with complex abdominal diagnoses.
