Job Description

The Quality Inspector performs detailed inspection and deburring of machined aerospace components to ensure they meet strict engineering, dimensional, and visual standards. This role uses precision measuring tools, interprets engineering drawings and GD&T, and supports compliance with aerospace quality systems while maintaining a clean, safe, and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and mechanical deburring on machined aerospace components, ensuring edges, holes, and surfaces meet blueprint and workmanship requirements.
• Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional and visual conformance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to confirm compliance with customer and aerospace standards.
• Identify nonconforming conditions, document findings accurately, and communicate issues in accordance with established quality procedures and AS9100 requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and contributing to teamwork and problem-solving efforts.

Essential Skills

• 1–3 years of quality experience in an inspection, quality control, or quality assurance role.
• Hands-on experience performing quality inspection and quality control activities in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to perform visual inspection with strong attention to detail to identify defects and nonconforming conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Erlanger, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
