Schedule: Flexible day or night shift availability; 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 19-bed surgical telemetry unit

Highlights:

• Surgical telemetry unit specializing in post-operative monitoring and care
• Collaborative staffing model with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and dedicated charge nurses on every shift
• EMR system: Meditech
• Standard equipment includes Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines
• Admission/discharge team supports patient flow and reduces nurse workload
• Float opportunities to Ortho Trauma and Inpatient Rehab units

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Texas (or eligibility for licensure)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing experience required
• Charge nurse and preceptor experience preferred
• Competency in wound care, ambulation assistance, and telemetry monitoring
