Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting young learners’ communication growth in a vibrant school setting near Salisbury, MD. Starting August 24, 2026, and continuing through June 30, 2027, you'll play a core role delivering speech and language services to students from PreK3 through 3rd grade. Work alongside a dedicated SLP colleague, sharing a manageable caseload of 40–50 students with mild to moderate disabilities.
Enjoy consistent, structured hours from 8:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while making an impact in a full-time (37 hours/week) assignment.
What we seek:
- Current Maryland Department of Health Certification (Speech-Language Pathology)
- Previous experience in school settings or working with children, especially those with mild to moderate communication needs
- Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues and engage with diverse student backgrounds
- Commitment to comprehensive service delivery for all students requiring speech and language support
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing direct speech and language therapy to students in PreK3 through 3rd grade
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals for eligible students
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Conducting assessments and maintaining detailed progress documentation
- Contributing to IEP meetings and supporting inclusive learning environments
