Job Description
TITLE
Surgical Technologist - Surgical

SCHEDULE
- 8-hour shifts starting at 06:30, 08:30, or 11:00
- 12-hour shifts starting at 06:30
- Weekends: Separate weekend shifts available
- Call: Rotation approximately 1 weekend/month and 1-2 nights/week

REQUIREMENTS
- Valid state license required
- Certifications: BLS, CST, NCCT
- Minimum of 2 years perioperative/surgical experience
- Experience with robotic cases (DaVinci) and common orthopedic/spine systems (Stryker, Medtronic)
- Familiarity with instrument processing, sterilization, endoscope/scope reprocessing, and high-level disinfection
- Specific charting experience in Epic

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in preparing the operating room by maintaining sterile conditions
- Pass surgical instruments to the surgeon and first assistant during procedures
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
- Ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available
- Assist with patient positioning and prep as directed by the surgical team

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Submission requirements: SSN, DOB, RTO must be included at submission
- Local rules: 50-mile radius rule applies; can only submit to one location within the region
- Traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Copy of certifications required; modules completion recorded in transcripts
