Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Staffency Program - Aspirus.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have recent hospital experience.

Required Credentials: Associate’s Degree or Certificate

Preferred Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree

Unit/Facility Details: Post Surgical Care Unit post recovery after PACU. During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.

Shift & Scheduling: 7a-7p/7p-7a.  Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend, and holiday. On Call/Call Back Requirements: Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours - can be low censused in hour increments as needed. Unit will typically low census in 4 hr increments and could ask for a traveler to work only 4 or 8 hrs of the shift. This is not considered to be on call.

Floating Requirements: To all inpatient unit

9 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
