We are looking for an experienced 1099 Independent Contractor CDL Truck Driver to safely transport freight while managing a flexible schedule. This is a full-time contract role where Over-the-Road (OTR) routes and weekly home time are fully negotiable based on your preferences.

Contract Overview & Logistics

• Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (Full-Time volume).
• Route & Schedule: OTR and Home Weekly schedules are flexible and negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, box trucks) in strict compliance with DOT, federal, and state regulations.
• Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while managing hours-of-service logs accurately.
• Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using liftgates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain routine maintenance records.
• Handle all freight documentation, including bills of lading, driver logs, and delivery receipts.
• Provide professional customer service when interacting with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) with relevant endorsements (e.g., hazmat, tanker).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FMCSA and DOT hours-of-service regulations.
• Physical ability to lift heavy cargo and operate freight-handling equipment.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with GPS routing software.
• Must be capable of managing independent 1099 contractor responsibilities.
