Advertised Salary: Minimum of $1,353 per credit hour; if an advanced degree is held in the primary academic discipline, the minimum rate increases to $1,458 per credit hour. Salary commensurate with qualifications pursuant to the FSU and FNTFO/AFT agreement.

Summary of Position: The College of Business at Ferris State University seeks a diverse group of outstanding applicants to teach undergraduate courses in at least one of the following disciplines: management, lean, or supply chain management, via face-to-face and/or mixed delivery. The College of Business is dedicated to providing a learning experience that instills in its students the knowledge, competencies, and skills for entry-level employment and career advancement in their chosen careers. To facilitate this, faculty are expected to be student-oriented and able to integrate current technology into the learning environment. Office hours are required: one per week for each course taught.

Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's campuses or an approved FSU site. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site.

This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis.

The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026.

The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H-1 B, etc.

Required Education: An MBA or a master's in a related field from an accredited university.

Required Work Experience: Five years of management-related work experience. Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Ph.D. in management or related.
Teaching experience in undergraduate management courses and upper-level executive management work experiences.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in at least one of the following undergraduate disciplines: management, lean, or supply chain management-related courses via face-to-face and/or mixed delivery.

Part-time teaching and related responsibilities; utilizing face-to-face, blended, and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment; close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning.

Faculty members also have professional responsibilities, which may include, but are not limited to, regularly scheduled office hours (at times convenient for students) and participation in traditional academic functions (e.g., reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or online.

Candidates are expected to foster a meaningful learning experience for our students, and faculty are expected to be student-oriented, advise, and integrate current technology into the learning environment.

Additionally, faculty will participate in collaborative efforts to advance curricular initiatives, assess student learning, and further develop programmatic enhancements.

Specifically, we expect the candidate to be willing to engage students outside the classroom, support and expand our existing academic initiatives, and mentor students beyond a traditional academic advising role.

In support of teaching, candidates will engage in scholarly/professional activities and participate in department, college, and university committees.

Off-campus and online teaching may be required.

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.


Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically.


Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.


Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
