• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job (Night Shift)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Location: Albany, GA 31701 — Registered nurse jobs in Albany, Georgia / Southeast Georgia
• Setting: Acute Care, Med/Surg Unit (44 beds) — medical-surgical nursing, acute care nurse role
• Contract Duration: 17 weeks (April 27, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) — night shift RN
• Hours: 36 hours per week, every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• EMR: Meditech (Meditech EMR experience preferred)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical nurse, acute care experience)
• Active RN license in Georgia or a valid compact state RN license (travel nurse eligible)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• NIHSS certification (AHA required)
• Ability to float to all acute care and cardio units as needed (flexible travel RN)
• Must meet strict 75-mile radius rule from address on driver's license to hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care as a Med/Surg RN on the acute care unit
• Manage patient assignments typically at a 1:5 ratio, occasionally 1:6
• Collaborate with nurse aides and CNAs (CNA ratios typically 1:8–1:10)
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR (electronic medical record)
• Complete general and floor-specific orientation to support successful onboarding as a travel nurse
• Float to acute care, cardiology, or emergency care units as needed
• Work scheduled holidays and weekends as required for this travel nursing assignment
