Working with cutting-edge state systems like Kronos, NeoGov, and OASIS, you will be the go-to expert helping new and current staff navigate essential processes with precision and care. This is more than an administrative role; it is an opportunity to ensure our team is supported by clear communication and flawlessly maintained records. In addition to your HR mastery, you’ll demonstrate your versatility and commitment to facility safety by stepping onto the front lines for a mandatory weekly 12-hour security shift. In accordance with SPB 3088 effective 10/7/23, $5000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility. Critical Vacancy Pay Facilities: Huttonsville Correctional Center and Jail, Mount Olive Correctional Complex and Jail, Western Regional Jail and Corrections Facility, Northern Correctional Facility (including Ohio County Correctional Center), Northern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, Chick Buckbee Juvenile Center, Vicki Douglas Juvenile Center, Potomac Highlands Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, and Eastern Regional Jail and Corrections Facility (including Martinsburg Correctional Center) (SPB 3088) Employees in this classification shall receive an annual base building pay differential each fiscal year of $250 after completing one year of service. If an employee is hired into a Critical Vacancy Pay Facility (CVPF) and leaves the facility, the additional pay differential of $5000 shall be removed from their salary, unless transferring to another CVFP. Minimum Qualifications Training: High school diploma or the equivalent. Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or part-time equivalent paid clerical experience, one (1) year of which must have been in a support or paraprofessional role in human resources, payroll, bookkeeping or accounting. Substitution: Candidates may substitute education for the required experience at the rate of one (1) year of experience for each thirty (30) semester hours of education.
