Global Health Economics & Outcomes Research Lead

Abbott seeks a Global Health Economics & Outcomes Research Lead to direct HEOR strategy and evidence generation for the Infectious Disease Rapid Diagnostics portfolio. This role partners across functions to develop economic models, real-world evidence studies, and reimbursement strategies supporting global market access and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead global HEOR and real-world evidence strategy aligned with business priorities across diagnostic products
• Design and oversee health economic modeling, outcomes research, and RWE studies demonstrating clinical and economic value
• Lead evidence synthesis including systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and indirect treatment comparisons across portfolio
• Partner with Market Access, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to align evidence strategies with product objectives
• Lead HEOR publication strategy and translate complex findings into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Advanced degree in health economics or related field
• Minimum 10 years HEOR, Market Access, or health policy experience in pharma, MedTech, consulting, or CRO
• Proven success designing, implementing, and publishing HEOR and RWE studies influencing reimbursement outcomes
• Deep knowledge of HTA processes, payer requirements, and healthcare financing systems in US, EU, and global markets
• Strong record engaging external stakeholders including HTAs, payers, KOLs, and academic partners
• Experience leading cross-functional and international projects with excellent communication skills
