BC/BE Neurohospitalist

Overview

Holston Valley Medical Center (HVMC), a member of Ballad Health , is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Neurohospitalist for an inpatient-only opportunity. HVMC is a 505-bed Level 3 trauma center located in Kingsport, Tennessee, with more than 450 BC/BE physicians on staff. Ballad Health is a 21-hospital health system serving a 29-county area and includes three tertiary facilities, 18 community/critical access hospitals, seven cancer centers, 18 Urgent Care locations, and Ballad Health Medical Associates with over 800 physicians and advanced practitioners.

Responsibilities

• This position covers inpatient stroke and general neurology, including consults in the intensive care unit, general medical floor, and the emergency room, and involves reading routine and prolonged EEGs.

What we’re offering

• 7 days on / 7 off schedule - 24-hour coverage, 12-hour day coverage / 12-hour telephonic coverage

• Average patient volume: 12–15 patients (including consults)
