Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of Sterile Processing Technicians. Responsibilities :

Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of Sterile Processing Technicians. Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with department leaders and staff to assess learning needs and competencies of Sterile Processing staff.
- Develops, coordinates and implements competencies for new hire orientation.
- Assesses and documents the progress of new hires throughout orientation. Provides remediation if necessary.
- Develops, coordinates and implements required competencies, resources and continuing education for Sterile Processing staff.
- High School diploma or GED.
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician) through CBSPD within 1 year. Preferred: CRCST at hire for those with direct sterile processing experience.
- 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing or as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room.
